Located in south central Africa, they were formerly known as Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and Bechuanaland (Botswana). Zimbabwe is about the size of Montana and Botswana the size of Texas. Salvation Army on call The Salvation Army runs four hospitals in the territory. In addition to numerous schools, The Salvation Army has seven vocational programs to help people find jobs, A new Salvation Army songbook (hymnal), written in the native language of Shona, has been published. The Masiye Orphan Training Center assists children orphaned by AIDS by teaching home management skills and offering counseling. Medical and educational care The Salvation Army’s Howard and Tshelanyemba Hospitals provide excellent medical care to many people throughout the region.
