Multivariable hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were estimated from Cox proportional hazardsmodels.Over11yearsoffollow-up,532lungcancercasesoccurred.Theriskestimateforobese(BMI$30kg/m2) participants at baseline was 1.21 (95%CI=0.95–1.53) relative to those with a normal BMI between 18.5#BMI,25.0. Overweight (25.0#BMI,30.0) at age 18 (HRoverweight-vs-normal =1.51;95%CI=1.01–2.26) and time spent sitting (HR$ 3 hrs-vs- ,3 hrs=1.32;95%CI=1.00–1.73)waseachassociatedwithlungcancerafteradjustmentforbaselineBMI,aswaswaist(HRQ4- vs-Q1=1.75;95%CI=1.09–2.79)andhipcircumference(HRQ4-vs-Q1=0.62;95%CI=0.39–0.99),aftermutualadjustmentforeach otherandbaselineBMI.Noassociationswereobservedforvigorousactivityortelevisionwatching.
