It plays a role in pre- vention and treatment of many diseases, including its anti-tumor effect. Solanine exhibits its an- ti-tumor effect through regulation several cellular and molecular pathways which induce cell apoptosis and autophagy, and inhibit cancer cells’ migration, invasion, angiogenesis and metasta- sis. Therefore, anti-cancer effects of solanine and its mechanism are reviewed in this article.
