Conclusion: We have shown that the combination of AFM-TERS provides a new way to visualize DNA and investigate the molecular structure of terminal groups at high spatial resolution and with extreme sensitivity. Moreover, we have demonstrated the potential of TERS to investigate the susceptibility of bonds to radiation damage and in particular have shown that O-C cleavage is the most likely form of DNA damage as this accounted for more than half of the cleavages detected Lipiec E, Sekine R, Bielecki J. Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2014, 53(1):169-72. 陈兰君、刘志娟 Enhanced Raman spectroscopy offers capabilities to detect molecules in the complex molecular environments and image chemical heterogeneity in a wide range of samples. It has been shown that plasmonic interactions between a TERS tip and a metal surface produce significant enhancements. These results demonstrate the selectivity that can be obtained in TERS images through a controlled plasmonic interaction. This approach has further implications for identifying membrane receptors that bind specific molecules relevant to drug targeting and chemical signaling. Wang H, Carrier S L, Park S, et al.
