Step 1. Lead in: Getting ready:
Cartoon talk
Step 2. Pre-reading:
1) Have Ss talk about something about cartoons.
2) Ask Ss to talk about how to make a cartoon.
3) Tell Ss they are going to read an article about cartoons. Look at the heading and guess its content.
4) Present some new words before reading.
Talk with partners.
Try to talk about cartoons as much as possible.

Fast reading: Ss try to
read the first sentence of each paragraph in the article on page 51 and write the numbers 1-6 in the boxes.

and finish Exercise C2 and D1.
Learn the useful
