Unit 5 Do you have a soccer ball ? 第一课时: New wordsTeaching and Learning Goals: 能争取使用下列词汇造句子(Curriculum words): do, have, has, let, us, go, we, late, get, great, play, sound,nteresting, boring, fun, difficult, relaxing, same, love, with, them, like, after...etc. 能争取使用下列常用短语造句子(Useful expressions) Let’s watch TV the same play...with be late after class go to school......etc. 能认读下列词汇(non-curriculum word) soccer ball, hey, Bill...etc. Teaching and learning steps Step 1: Learn to read the words and phrases on P97-98 1. Students try to read the words using the phonetics by themselves. underline the words that they can`t read correctly. 2.Give them a few minutes to deal with the problems they have in their pronunciation in pairs or groups. At the same time the teacher walks around to see if they have any questions and help them. 3.Get individual students to read the new words to the class, the others listen. When necessary, the teacher should correct the mistakes . 4.Get the students to read the words three times after the tape. Then give them a few more minutes to read all the words quickly to consolidate the pronunciation. (设计意图:学生先根据音标自己试读单词,将难读的或无法读出的单词标注出来。这样让学生自己学习读单词,培养他们自主学习的能力,第二步小组内读,主要是解决有困难的单词,教师巡视,发现问题可给予帮助 。本单元的单词多数都比较易读,但要注意几个形容词:interesting, relaxing, difficult, boring.后几步中,让学生读单词、正音、跟老师读、跟磁带读,这样的设计,目的是让多数学生能熟读单词。) Step 2 : Learn to remember some words .
