Abstract:=ObjectiveT he study isolated Fe( Ó)-reducing bacterium from paddy soil, compared the dif-
ferent isolating results of different dilution factor , and studied the Fe reducing-characters of different
strains.=M ethod Fe( Ó)-reducing bacterium w as isolated w ith PT YG plate and Fe( Ó)-citrate medium
from paddy soil of Jiangxi and ichuan Province and the ability of Fe( Ó)- reducing potential of bacterium
w as identified by Fe( OH) 3 culture and Fe( Ó)-citrate medium method. T he rate of Fe( Ó)-reducing and
the character curve of Fe( Ó)-reduction and growth of different bacteria w ere compared.=Re
