As previously reported, CNV amplitudes were higher in Go compared to NoGo trials. In addition, event-related spectral poweroftheGoconditionwasreducedinthethetatolowgammarangecomparedtotheNoGocondition,confirmingthat preparingtorespondisassociatedwithmodulationofevent-relatedspectralactivityaswellastheCNV.Altogether,the impact of the experimental manipulation on both slow event-related potentials and oscillatory EEG activity may reflect coordinateddynamicchangesintheexcitabilityofdistributedneuralnetworksinvolvedinpreparation.
