Grip force increased from about 100ms following the verb presentation, peaked at 380ms and fell abruptlyafter400ms,signallingapossibleinhibitionofthemotorsimulationevokedbythesewords.Theseobservations revealtheintimaterelationshipthatexistsbetweenlanguageandgraspandshowthatitispossibletoelucidateonlinenew aspectsofsensorimotorinteraction.
