Communication skills training in the prevention of the role of nurse-patient disputes [Abstract] Objective To investigate the communication skills training in the prevention of the role of nurse-patient disputes. Methods in 2007 a comprehensive system of ward nurses in communication skills training, patients were randomly selected for medical treatment before and after training occurred during the nurse-patient disputes the number of cases, divided into non-training group and training group were compared. Results for the ward training group 1 patients mismanagement, 2, 2% for the communication barriers, non-training group 2 were not strong sense of responsibility, the remaining 18 cases because of nurse-patient communication 18% due to obstacles, the two groups significantly different, P lt;0.05. Conclusion communication barriers that cause the primary factor in nursing disputes, communication skills training can help nurses master the communication skills, provide patients with safe and warm environment and a quality treatment services, improve patient satisfaction, effectively preventing the occurrence of nursing disputes.
