Thesesystemswerefullyimplementedandhavebeenusedonadailybasisforyears. Both arebasedonsynthetic(virtual)?lesysteminterfacesandprovidemechanismstoadaptto changesinthecontextandrecon?gurethesystemtosupportpervasiveapplications.Wealso present the main differencesbetween them, focusing on architectural andrecon?guration aspects.Finally,weanalyzethepitfallsandsuccessesofbothsystemsandreviewthelessons welearnedwhiledesigning,developing,andusingthem.
