AN675 PRECISION32™ D EVELOPMENT S UITE O VERVIEW 1. Introduction The Precision32™ Development Suite is a complete development system for Silicon Labs 32-bit MCUs. The Development Suite consists of three parts: the Unified Development Platform (UDP) hardware, the Software Development Kit (SDK), and the PC development tools including AppBuilder and the Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Each of these components is discussed in more detail in the application notes listed in “2. Relevant Documentation”. The Precision32 software package is available at /32bit-software. Figure 1 shows the Development Suite. Figure 1. AppBuilder generates initialization and startup code for a device in convenient and easy-to-use GUI interface. This project output imports into the Precision32 IDE, where additional application code can be added. Finally, the code downloads to the corresponding UDP MCU card using the Silicon Labs Debug Adapter. The Keil uVision® and IAR Workbench IDEs also provide alternate development paths.
