Abstract: The solidification of stator casting is smi ulatedw ith the sofwt are ofHuazhu CAE. The design of casting mould is optmi ized by the smi ula-
tion and expermi ent. The casting process ismodified to elmi inate shrinkage and porosity in the stator casting. Smi ulation results agreew ellw ith the
trial-production results. The results show that smi ulation can be applied to evaluating and mi proving the casting process and shortening the develop-
m ent period of new production. So good econom ic benefits is gained for the com pony.
