Abstract– MethodsfordetectingQuantitativeTraitLoci(QTL)withoutmarkershavegenerally
usediterativepeelingalgorithmsfordetermininggenotypeprobabilities.Thesealgorithmshave
considerable shortcomings in complex pedigrees. A Monte Carlo Markov chain (MCMC)
