Summary mdash; This study concerns an analysis of variation of a group of enzymes (i.e. 6-Pgd, G-
6pd, a-Gpdh, Adh, Hk, Idh and Me) and fitness characteristics such as fecundity, egg-to-adult deve-
lopment, rate of embryonic development, body mass, and mobility of Drosophila melanogaster flies,
