Abstract
Bisphosphonatesarerecommendedinthetreatmentofosteoporosisandsomecancers,inwhichcasetheyprevent
theappearanceofbonemetastasis.Thepatientstakingbisphosphonatesareatincreasedriskofdeveloping
bisphosphonate-relatedosteonecrosisofjaw(BRONJ)whichischaracterisedbythepresenceofanun-healing
woundafterdentalsurgery.BRONJmightrepresentanan
