Abstract: The implicit / explicit cognition is currently a hot topic in psychological research, which in the whole cognitive system has a central place. This paper briefly describes the implicit / explicit cognition research on the significance of teaching English grammar. College English teaching should be as much as possible for learners to experience and an understanding of English, making it implicit cognition mechanisms in the acquisition of English grammar automatically play a role, so that implicit learning to achieve the best learning. In addition, implicit learning and explicit learning but also closely integrated, and only two kinds of learning styles complement each other, the quality of teaching college English in order to truly improve.

1 Introduction
Modern psychological research shows that explicit learning (exp licitlearning) and implicit learning (imp licit learning) is a complex study of human tasks, access to knowledge, the two most basic ways (Bialystok 1994).
