Cross-Culture Differences in Business Before my topic , I want to tell you a story . A Chinese officer received an American head of delegation . The head of delegation said to the officer “Your wife is so beautiful !” Then the head of delegation said “ where where .” At that time ,all people in meeting place laughed . Different country has different culture . Ok , today my topic is cross-culture differences in business. Cross culture is crossing the boundary between countries and national cultures . Which is the cultural differences between groups of different countries and different ethnic groups . In my eyes ,cross culture in some places such as business that means it’s a fusion between different culture and different countries .So that people work in this kind of environment . According to the statistics , multinational corporations account for sixty percent of the total number of companies around the world . Besides , almost all of the sales de partment of enterprise has a direct or indirect relationship with other enterprise of the world . So cross culture has effect on business . Cross cultural influence on business embodies in some aspects such as originality , price ,psychology ,the difficult degree of the contract ,and business management . Multi-national corporation has different religion in different countries ,subsidiaries . Within a multi-national corporation , there are different cultural background staff with different working attitude and the pursuit . So the cross-cultural management influences directly multinational operation . Firstly , cross-culture make the communication become difficult . For foreigner manage a company in China , it’s hard to talk business with his staff . Secondly , cultural difference may affect many aspects of decision making . On the one hand is that the decision makers probably fail according to their own culture to make decision . On the other hand is that people has different behavior pattern and different point of view
