Methods With the computerized neurobehavioral evaluation system - Chinese(NES-C3), 109 soldiers who worked in tank cabins (observation group) and 112 soldiers worked in conditions without any tank contact (control group) were studied on their neurobehavioral function . Results Compared to the control group, the ability indices of serial addition and subtraction, auditory simple reaction time, aim tracing and digit cancelling were significantly decreased(P0.05, P0.01, P0.05, P0.05). The minimum value of visual retention and the average value of auditory simple reaction time of soldiers in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P0.01, P0.01). Conclusion The harmful factors in tank cabins have a certain adverse effect on neurobehavioral function of tank crews. It is necessary to carry out the intervened measures in tanke cabin environment to improve the fighting capacity of tank crews.
