1 doi issn j R A Analysis of severe neurotoxicity caused by paclitaxel combined with cisplatin ZHANG Ye LIU Xiufeng LU Saihua Shanghai Sixth Peoples Hospital South Campus Shanghai China Abstract Ob ective To discuss the mechanism of severe neurotoxicity caused by paclitaxel combined with cisplatin Methods A j retrospective analysis of clinical data was pertorem about non small cell lung cancer case given paclitaxel combined with cisplatin and resulted in severe neurotoxicity Result The patients came to hospital because of sputum blood and diagnosed as non small cell lung cancer Then weeks chemotherapy showed significant effect but in the chemotherapy period severe neurotoxicity happened and the chemotherapy regimen discontinued Conclusion There is individual difference in neurotoxicity caused by paclitaxel As cells selfrepair ability decreased and liver and kidney function declined cytotoxic drug metabolism is slow down in v ivo Early patients are more prone to having adverse reaction in chemotherapy Key words Paclitaxel cisplatin neurotoxicity 1 mL kg min h min d mg L g L D WA A B mg g L g mL CT M T
