苏曼殊（1884～1918年） He was born in Yokohama Japan. His father is Chinese merchant mother is Japanese. When he was 15 years old, he went to study in Japan. He became a monk 16 years old And then he joined Sun Yat-sen in Xinhai revolution（辛亥革命). He died in 1918 because of stomach illness，35 years old. 苏曼殊 is a poet、 writer painter and translator, he can understand English 、Japanese and Sanskrit(梵文) 雁荡观瀑 采莲图 He also wrote other novels, 》、《绛纱记》、《焚剑记》、《碎簪记》、《非梦记》, 《天涯红泪记》only finished two chpters Wenxueyinyuan(文学因缘) was the first collection of poems, he translated lots of Chinese ancient pomes into English. He also published another three collections, 《潮音》《拜伦诗选》《汉英三昧集》. He was the first person to translate George Gordon Byron’s pomes into Chinese. He also translated lots of pomes written by P. B. Shelley, Robert Burns, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and other poets. He also translated Les Misérables written by Victor Hugo. A Widow Bird Sate Mourning For Her Love P. B.
