Train the students’ ability of listening. 2. Learn some new words and sentence structures about holiday experiences. 重 点:Master new words and expressions; Understand the listening materials about holiday experiences, while listening, teacher gives necessary explanations. 难 点:Develop listening skills and strategies; Develop teamwork skills; Develop competence in questioning; 教学资源:Text Book , Teacher’s Book, Tape Recorder 教学内容: Step1 Warm-up -Task 1 Talk about summer holiday Have the students talk about their family holiday experiences based on the following questions. Meanwhile, have the students recognize them, ask the students to write down the key words in groups and speak out the words or phrases that they have seen. Questions: How was your summer holiday? How did you spend your holiday? Where did you\your family go? What was the weather like? What did you do there? Did you have a nice holiday? (go skating,,….) Time: 10 mins Steps: Have Ss think about the questions. Divide Ss into groups and let them talk about it with their group members. Teacher selects some Ss to present their ideas, then make comments on Ss’ performance. Step 2 Lead-in -Task 2 1.Activity 1. Read and tick. Have the students recognize the activities and read them aloud. Ask them to tick the activities they once did by using: I visited the zoo. / I went swimming. / I climbed mountains. Words to be taught: go swimming, go skating, go fishing, go skiing, visit the zoo, play volleyball on the beach, climb mountains, pick apples/grapes/watermelon….. Time: 10 mins Steps: (1) Ask Ss
