Faculty of Earth Resources , China University of Geosciences , Wuhan 430074 ,China) Abstract: lndustrial ecology is an innovation theory of solving the problems of resource and envìronment from industrial level and has receìved more and more attentions since it was proposed in the 1990s. Based on the review of the connotation of industrial ecology ,this paper summarizes its research status at home and abroad ,and makes some comments. The paper believes that the research in China is mainly on industry symbiotic system ,but overseas research scope is wider ,and the industrial ecology research has shifted from the simple study about the concept and technology to the integrated study on society , culture , economìc , system ,organization and management.
