Stone’s Throw Playground

? Stone’s Throw Playground 大白兔 儿童游乐设施本来就需要创造力的,但国内儿童场地本就缺乏设计的创造力更谈不上了! Landscape Architecture:?Archicolture/ Marco Antonini, Roberto Capecci, Raffaella Sini Design construction: 2005 Location: Cornerstone Sonoma, Sonoma valley, California USA Area: 200 msup2; Cost: € 11.000 Construction company: Cornerstone Gardens Concept Landscapeis represented in traditional garden art through allegories or as realisticminiatures. We are inverting the process of miniaturisation by isolating astone from its original environment and expanding its scale to the point thatit becomes itself a landscape. Similarly to some experiences in pop art anelementary object is blown to surreal dimensions. In our case it is not afamiliar and mass produced object, instead it is an arbitrarily chosen butunique element of a specific landscape, a beach on the Mediterranean. Thisprocess begins with the stone being singled out from the many stones formingthat particular landscape. Its de-contextualisation and placement on a urbanlawn, is a necessary intermediate step to define its identity. The followingmanipulation transforms it into a space that will be experienced by visitors.iexcl;reg;Informediexcl;macr; through images that depict the stone in its original andtransitory environment the visitors close the conceptual circle by livingactively and emotionally the site. Physicaldescription of the garden Thegarden consists of a iexcl;reg;forestiexcl;macr; of shrubs surrounding a central structure (thestone). The stone is a concrete surface on earth dunes shaped through earthmovements. Cylindrical PVC tubes have been placed in the earth dunes before theconcrete was poured in order to achieve the holes in the surface. These containsucculent plants. 订阅到阅读空间
