The influence factors of mechanical properties and durability of wood plastic composite materials were analyzed. The application of wood plastic composites in building engineering was expounded. The future research directions of wood plastic composites was expected. It was pointed out that the study of wood plastic composites should be further explored mainly in durability mechanism and modification method and structure design of durability of wood plastic composites.
