The pressure at boiler is very carefully designed in order to minimize the piping system cost, covering all requested pressures at equipments, this is because the volume is steam is this means Higher pressure significantly allow smaller piping size, thus cost effectiveness So steam is supplied at relatively high pressure On the other hands pressure requested at steam equipments or some branches are quite low because of the design Also quite different among these equipments and lines.
