A tank bottom elevation correction method and an accessory correction method were respectively proposed through the establishment of a finite element model for tank bottom to redllce the influence of tank bottom deformation on volume metrology resulted from oil loading , thus enhancing the accuracy of custody transfer. A vertical metal tank with a capacity of 5 ,000 m3 was tested by volllme comparison and geometric measurement and the analytical reslllts were modified with the elevation correction method and the access。可 correction method described above. 四len ， the modified results were compared with the results of volume comparison to verify
