Where to Live—Small Town vs Big City The trend of urbanization has seen a major growth in the latter half of the 20th century , characterized by the increasing number of people moving from the countryside to big cities. Statistics on social integration showed that new residents are more likely to be affected by problems associated with lifestyles than long-term citizens. This is mainly caused by transitions in many aspects of life, according to sociologists. For the next part of this paper , common features of the two types of living will be discussed comparatively. Location: the building of the city is more crowded than the small town. Besides, the transportation is more convenient than small town. And public facilities are also relatively complete. Such as hospital, school, cinema and so on. Cost: As is known to all, the standards level of urban relative to the country is concerned much higher. People are in pursuit of higher quality of life. Education: the urban have perfect education system. Per capita of education level than villages. This phenomenon we can see from the number of universities, and the number of companies. Activities: in city, people usually go to the cinema or gym. Urban have many places of entertainment. But our ways in small town are not the same as city. In small towns, people could climb the hill and fishing. We could enjoy the fresh air and close to animals. Anyhow, no matter be the cities or the countryside each has advantages. We should treat it objectively. Each life has its own happiness.
