On Application of Affective Education in Primary School English Teaching Abstract: Gone with the Wind, Margaret Mitchell’s first and the only novel, has aroused worldwide response and becomes the most popular novel in American literature. This article focuses on the heroine Scarlett who exhibit rebellious and hard work, the spirit of self-reliance, showing the awakening and the pursuit of freedom of self-consciousness heroine. Women in all aspects of the novel Scarlett awakening from a detailed description of the pre-war and post-war war three periods.
