= Abstra t The investigation found that there arem any unscientific local taboo behaviors in the puerperal period such as the
behaviors in parturien tw oman s d iet, the health care, the daily activity, the dress and the environment. The occurrences of these
behaviors are h igh. Special puerperal period health education shou ld be offered to the pregnant woman and the fam ilym em ber to
popularize the scientific know ledge of / the passing first month after ch ildbirth0 , and to change the old conventional behaviors.
