Many researchers have analyzed Metadiscourse in a variety of styles. However, these studies mainly focus on the study of written texts. Political speeches, as a public speaking, rarely involve. Based on the research on the existing meta discourse on the 2012 Obama victory speech corpus, classification and function of trying to explore the interpersonal metadiscourse embodies the speaker intentionality and purpose in political discourse, aims to analyze the status and role of interpersonal Metadiscourse in Political Speech Discourse indispensable. Key words: interpersonal metadiscourse; political speech discourse; Obamas victory speech; subjectivity Abstracts: Metadiscourse, as a relative new concept in the field of discourse analysis, got constant attentions recently. Many researchers analyzed various styles of metadiscourse. However, these researches mainly focused on the study of written discourse. Political speech, as a kind of public speech, was rarely involved. This text selected the Obama victory speech in s 2012 as corpus and tried to discuss the classification and function of metadiscourse reflecting the speakers intentions and purposes in political text based on introspecting present metadiscourse s studies.
