Proofreading and correcting is the second part of the English major test. This section USES a subjective test. The project consists of two parts: the answer requirement and a short essay that requires revision. Part of the answer is to explain the three ways of revising the passage: add, delete and change a word, and give an example. The length of the essay required for revision is about 200 words. The genre and subject matter of the essay are not beyond the scope of the students. The passage contains ten mistakes; Mistakes appear in the lines marked with the inscription. Errors typically involve a single word; There is only one error per line. The words that require modification include functional words (such as prepositions, articles, etc.), as well as words (verbs, nouns, etc.). Errors are involved in both the sentence and the sentence. ?
The test goal of proofreading and correction is to check the students ability to use language flexibly in practical contexts. The program examines students grammar and vocabulary, but focuses more on assessing students comprehensive language skills.
