The facecont act model of gear s was est ablished accor ding to t he deformation comp atibility condition and force equilibrium relationship . The p ropo sed helical gear set comp rised an involute pinion and a double crowned gear . Finite element models of t he whole gear drive have been set up . Accor dingly , a meshgeneration p rogram was also developed for finite element cont act analysis.
