Introduction of CB What is Corporate Banking? Has Wholesale Character. Provide products and service to Corporations. Foreign banks’ target clients have expanded from MNC to SOE and SME. Foreign CB player in china now are above one hundred. II. Business Structure of CB The functional structure of CB III. Functional Lines of CB 1. Corporate Sales (Relationship Manager): Corp. Sales can also be called Relationship Manager, cross selling all the products of Banking. They will sustain BD and maintain the clients for banks. In most banks, RM will write the Credit Proposal for their clients. Business Channel of RM In the large size foreign banks, the Clients’ scales will divide RM into several parts: Large Corp. Called SOE (State owned enterprise), MNC Multinational Corporate. Small Medium Enterprises. Financial Institution (including Banking and Non-Banking) Notice:Generally, RM in large banks will be provided into many detailed parts, but in Small or Medium Banks, one RM will be in charge of several industries! RM Function: Provide effective financing proposals and good quality of credit applications under financing policies to customers during the approval process. Identify potential customers and help them to maximize revenue contribution. Be responsible for Credit risk control and minimize the loan losses of banks Give consults and strategies solutions to clients when problems occurred. RM Function: Proactively market cash management, trade and financing and other potential products of the banks as to maximize the revenue of the portfolio. Work with other business departments to deliver high quality service. Give regular feedback to Marketing and Product Development Officer on product processes based on customer feedback. 2.
