波分系统的分类(国外英语资料) Transmission mode of WDM device 2.3.1 unidirectional WDM As shown in Fig. 2-2, a single wavelength division multiplexing system employs two optical fibers, one fiber to complete the transmission of only one directional optical signal, and the transmission of the reverse optical signal by another fiber. In long-distance network, according to the need of actual business, step by step increase the wavelength to realize capacity expansion, which is very flexible. Under the premise of not knowing the actual dispersion of optical fiber cable, it is also a means to avoid ultra high speed optical system by using multiple 2.5Gbit/s systems for ultra large transmission. 2.3.2 bidirectional WDM As shown in Fig. 2-3, the bidirectional wavelength division multiplexing system uses only one fiber to realize simultaneous transmission of two directional optical signals in one fiber, and two directional optical signals should be arranged at different wavelengths. Bidirectional WDM transmission mode allows a single fiber to carry full duplex channel, optical fiber devices usually can save half of one-way transmission, because the signal transmission direction of the two generation FWM does not interact (four wave mixing) products, so the FWM product than the two fiber unidirectional transmission are much less, but the drawback is that the system needs to use special measures to pay (including light reflection due to light reflection and joint caused by discrete fiber Rayleigh backscattering itself), to prevent multipath interference; when the optical signal amplification to extend the transmission distance, must use the bidirectional optical fiber amplifier and optical circulator and other components, but the noise coefficient is little difference.
