College of Economics and ManagementTianjin Chengjian UniversityTianjin 300384China Abstract Contractorsas the direct producers of construction projectsconstitute a particular social network with other players of projects. In order to explore contractors’ roles in the network and their relationship with other stakeholderssocial network analysis method is used. And based on stakeholders’ social networkwe analyze contractors’ stakeholder model and its density. Thenwe classify the stakeholders of contractors. Results show that the closeness of stakeholders’ social network of construction projects is lowand the contractor is the center of the network. In additionowners and supervisors are both core stakeholders of contractors. Finallywe provide suggestion for contractors in the process of project constructions to strengthen collaboration with other parties.
