3.2 Contents
1) Grammar: the Present Continuous Tense for future actions.
2) Words involved: come, go, leave, fly, walk, ride, drive, stay, meet, die, see, have, arrive, etc.
3.3 Objectives
3.3.1 Instructional objectives
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1) Get the students to learn the usage of the Present Continuous Tense for future actions.
2) Let the students learn the ways to express good wishes and farewells, and the means of transportation.
3) Let the students know in what situation the Present Continuous Tense can be used to describe future things, and its general collocation.
3.3.2 Educational objectives
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1) Communicate with others well by properly using the patterns to express good wishes and farewells.
2) Develop proper goals and plans for life and study, pursue their goals with clear direction.
3) Improve their ability of learning new things and induction by using different kinds of teaching strategies and finishing various tasks.
4) Become interested in English learning and be active in class, and build confidence in English learning and express their own ideas and preferences. Raise their awareness of cooperation and team work through pair-work and group-work.
3.3.3 Personal objectives
After teaching this lesson, the teacher should be able to:
1) transit every stage naturally by using more transitional sentences.
2) time the class process better by arranging every stage carefully.
