Phrases: what if, give it to charity
Sentence Structure: I would/ I’d do What would you do if you had a million dollars? I’d give it to medical research.
2. Ability Goals
Develop the students’ speaking and listening ability.
Be able to talk about imaginary situations with target language..
3.Moral Goals
Train students’ ability of dealing with the things happening suddenly .
Develop the students’ love to the poor by practicing target language. 评价1.By working in groups , we can cheer up the students, encourage them to take an active part in learning: listening, speaking, reading, writing ;2.By showing the students some tasks , urge them to learn by themselves and judge themselves. 教具学具 A recorder, the computer 学习活动设计
Step 1 Leading in
1. Show the class a photo of someone in a very unusual situation.
After the activity, ask several students to answer the question ,pointing to the different cues on the board., using the following sentences:
If you were in the lion’s cage, I’d…
2. Point to the picture again and ask the students( holding up a picture of a person in a lion’s cage)
Then ask the students to answer the question: What would you do if you had a million dollars? Using the following phrases: give it to charity, buy snacks, put it in the bank etc.
3. Get several more examples from other students.
While doing this, write a number of students’ answers on the blackboard. Underline the mistakes, then ask someone to correct them.
Step2 Pre-listening
Look at the picture on Page 1 and ask students to tell you what they see:
and write them down on the blackboard,such as
buy a big house, give the money to the zoo, medical research, etc.
Listen to the teacher and guess what they are thinking.:
Buy a bid house
Give the money to the zoo
Give it to medical
