$3 bowl sells for $2.2M3美元中国瓷碗卖222万
A Chinese bowl bought at a tag sale for $3 has sold at a Sothebys auction in New York for more than $2.22m, AP reported. A New Yorker bought the bowl for $3 at a flea market in 2007 and displayed it in his living room for several years before curiosity about its origins caused him to have it examined. It turned out to be a 1,000-year-old treasure from the Northern Song Dynasty of China. The bowl was finally sold far above the presale estimate of $200,000 to $300,000. Penguins play iPad games美企鹅成iPad游戏高手
The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California, is believed to be the first in the world to give its penguin residents access to an iPad, the Daily Mail of London reported. This was the idea of a volunteer. He hoped that the iPad app Game for Cats could be used as an enrichment aid for the penguins. The staff were astonished when the penguins instantly took to the game and managed to score highly by tapping their beaks on the screen.
