In the design and operation of power plants, substations and the entire power system, must be short-circuit calculations and simulations in advance, as a reasonable choice of electrical wiring, the choice has sufficient thermal stability and dynamic stability of the electrical equipment and carrier conductor, identified measures to limit short-circuit current in the power system protection and rational allocation of various important basis for setting its parameters and the like. For this reason, after a short circuit to master physical processes as well as short-circuit the process simulation method is necessary.In this paper,with the aid of MATLAB function to build the electric power system model and simulationof the three phase short circuit fault,through the software of fault happened after the analysis of thedata waveform,thus illustrates the MATLAB in the study of power system is a powerful auxiliary tool,to masterthe use of electric power systems research has important practical significance。 Key words: MATLAB;power system simulation;bolted three- phase fault 绪论 短路是电力系统的严重故障。所谓短路，是指一切不正
