No country for old men “No country for old men” was directed by Coen Brothers and starred Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin. The premiere of “No country for old men” went remarkably well in 2007. The movie essentially follows these three characters. Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem) is a heartless killer who is dangerous even under police guard. Chigurh has just killed a young police officer. He manages to escape and wanders the plains of Texas, killing pretty much everyone he encounters except those lucky enough to win a coin toss in his presence. Moss (Josh Brolin) is a cowboy, on whose hunting trip came across a gone-bad drug deal. There are a lot of bodies, a truck full of heroin and a suitcase of cash. Moss takes the suitcase but later, out of kindness he returns to the drug trading place to see if he can find a survivor. Unfortunately, he is revealed by the heartless killer employed by the gangsters. Moss is lucky enough to survive this time, but he has to escape. Furthermore, he is unwilling to give up the cash suitcase in which fixes with a microwave projector so that Chigurh can follow the track of Moss. Meanwhile, local sheriff Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) is drawn into all of this because the killer has just escaped from his deputy and the drug deal massacre happens in his territory. However, he feels at a loss when facing a series of killings because he is always too late to keep up with the killer. After taking the suitcase, Moss can no longer have a peaceful time because Chigurh can always find him with the help of the wave receiver. Gun battles happen frequently during Moss’s escape. Moss is an experienced veteran and manages to shoot the killer’s leg, but he himself is also left wounded by Chigurh. The sheriff tries to protect Moss, but what he can do is only to be an onlooker of the whole event…… No Country for Old Men involves elements of the thriller but is essentially a character study, an examination of how its people meet and deal wit
