With the implementation of energy saving policy of power industry during the Twelfth five-year period, the structure and size of power industry has changed, and the proportion of renewable energy has also increased, while the effect of energy saving and emission reduction has been obvious. With making systematic analysis of energy consumption and pollutants emission characteristics of power industry, it summed up the factors to achieve energy saving and emission “ ” reduction for power industry during Twelfth five-year period, and also made recommendations for future development from policy, market, technology and other aspects.
