Particularly , these countries lay great importance on the traditional medicine knowledge , since it is an indis- pensable component of the traditional knowledge. To improve the protection of traditional medicine knowledge , many countries have made legislation for the traditional medicine knowledge , so the protection work would be more legally and effectively by following the law. As a result , the level of protection has been greatly enhanced. As a great traditional medicine country , China has an almost blank history in its legal protection for traditional medicine. How to leam from advanced countries experience , to accelerate the legislative process , and to improve the level of protection for traditional medicine is a problem we must face.
