Method: The information systems of physician order processing, medical supplies management, clinical pathway and nursing management ensure a safe and excellent nursing to the patients in Day Care Unit. Result: With the information construction in the Day Care Unit, the critical work runs succeed, including bed appointment, ward daily report, special computer-based patient record of day-care ward and structured computer-based patient record, nursing quality control, nursing human resource management, flexible shift arrangement, medical supplies requisition and handover of patient. The Day Care Ward working information system is of great precision, convenient, efficient and specialized. It can meet the work needs of the Day Care Ward. It improved the work efficiency of the Day Care Ward. The information- based management optimized the work process of the Day Care Ward and improved work efficiency. It ensured a high qualified patient safety and nursing management. It will work great in improving the development of the Day Care Ward surgery. Keyword
