Technical innovation is not only the fundamental way for the enterprises’ survival and development, but also the key to enhance their core competitive ability. With the development of globalization and knowledge economy, high-tech SMEs which has become an important and active force in the modern economic system are the new power of technical innovation. Strengthening technical innovation of high-tech SMEs is not only the request of developing themselves, but also the way to enhance innovation capability of the whole society. This text first analyzed the features of high-tech SMEs’ technical innovation, and then analyzed the mechanism and the patterns of technical innovation that taken by high-tech SMEs in detail, at last made policy recommendations about technical innovation of high-tech SMEs. For the purpose of providing certain suggestions for the enterprises through the analysis so as to create and enhance their core competitive ability and then promote the national economic development continuously.
