M ethods To retrospectively collect, record and comp ile clinical data of a total of 251 IBD patients, and compare them w ith 174 patientsw ith ulcerative colitis ( UC) and 77 patientsw ith Crohns d isease ( CD) in the extra-intestinal man ifestations. R esults Sixty-one patients ( 24. 3% ) w ith IBD had extra-intestinalman ifestations, 38 ( 21. 8% ) w ith UC and 23 w ith CD ( 2 . % ) had extra- intestinal man ifestations, and no statistical d ifferenceswere found betw een them (P 0. 05). Comparedw ith rectum-restricted colitis group, the left-side-predom inant colitis group in patientsw ith UC w ere associated w ith more extra- intestinal man ifestations (P 0. 05). And compared w ith the colon-restricted type, the colon-ileum type and ileocecum type in patientsw ith CD w ere associated w ith less extra- intestinalm anifestations (P 0. 05).
