BOOK II UNIT 2 SPEAKING AND WRITING Zhao Juan 主讲教师:英语组 赵娟 The General Idea of This Period: This period has two aims— encourage the Ss to learn about useful sports words and phrases and think and talk creatively and to enable the students to write a short passage in their P.E class. Teaching Aims: Learning about some useful sports words and phrases. To improve the students’speaking and writing skills about their favourite sports in the P.E class. Teaching Important Points: 1. Get the Ss to talk about their favourite sports in their P.E class. 2. Enable the students to write a short passage about their favourite sports in their P.E class. Teaching Difficult Points: 1. How to talk about their favourite sports2. How to write a short passage about their favourite sports in their P.E class. Teaching Methods: 1. in pairs 2.Practice to improve the students’ writing ability. Teaching Aids: 1. A multimedia computer. 2. A projector. Teaching Procedures: Warming up T: To have them enjoy a video THE CUP OF THE WORLD, and ask them: Do you like the song, what is it about? Ss: Yes or No . It is about football T: OK, It is about football , today we are going to learn something about sports in your P.E class. Now let’s enjoy some beautiful pictures , maybe it’s a surprise for you , and you will be one of them. T: Which kinds of sports are there in our P.E class? S: basketball, volleyball, Taekwondo , football, badminton , aerobics, table tennis. Stept 2.Speaking T: Good job! All of you have a good memory .It’s time to do the first aim . T: Work in pairs to make a dialogue ,and then have a show to come to the front of the classroom. S1:.What’s your favorite sport? S2: My favourite sport is …. S1: Why do you like it best?
