In time bill of exchange, the payment is on the maturity date determinable in accordance with the stipulations of the L/C. The Instrument of Payment (2)Clean Draft/ Documentary Draft 光票/跟单汇票 In clean draft, no commercial or shipping documents are attached to the draft. The documents are sent together with the goods, directly to the importer. Therefore, unless the credibility of the importer is unquestionable, using a clean draft in the shipment of goods is risky. In a documentary draft, the commercial or shipping documents are attached to the draft. The importer will be able to receive the commercial or shipping documents from the collecting bank only after he has accepted the draft for payment later or after he has paid the draft. The Instrument of Payment (3) Commercial draft/ Banker’s draft商业汇票/银行汇票 Commercial draft is a bill issued by a commercial enterprise on another interprise or on a bank. Banker’s draft is a draft drawn by a bank on another bank.
