It has three natural zones (the Highlands in the north; the Central lowlands; the south Uplands) Capital: Edinburgh Wales is in the west of Great Britain. Capital: Cardiff Northern Ireland : Capital: Belfast. Rivers and mountains Ben Nevis (Scotland)is the highest mountain in Britain. Severn River ( longest river) Thames River (second longest and most important river ) The English Channel: The Channel is a narrow sea passage which separates England and France and connects the Atlantic Ocean and North Sea.
