Abstract As the important part of Chinese higher education, independent college should create campus physical culture in high key, high grade, and high quality. Sports associations play an extremely important role in it. This paper analyzes the characteristics and situation of sports associations in university. What’s more, it also analyzes the problems and solutions in managementofsportsassociationstoprovidetheoreticalbasisforthedevelopmentofShandong physicalInstitute. Bythemeansofdocuments,questionnairesurvey,statistics,expertinterviewsandotherresearch methods,thispapermainlyaimsatthesportscommunityclubsofShandongindependentcollege to investigate the functions, management and the forms of sports associations in Shandong independentcollege.Theproblemsareasfollows:theformalityofactivities;thelackofvarieties; thefewoforganizations.Fewcollegeshavetheirowncharacteristicprojectandthetrainingtime is relatively stable. Most members think the management ofthe sports associations is Ok.A smallnumber ofmembers are very satisfiedwith it. In general,the members arenot very sure aboutthemanagementofthesportsassociations. The basic hardware facilities in the sports associations of independent colleges could be abletomeetthedemandofthessportsassociations.Thereislittlesportsmediumandnotregular waylikevideotodisseminatesportsnews.Thesystemisnotsoundyetandmembersknowlittle aboutthe system.Ontheotherhand,theatmosphereoftraditional sportscultureissoweakthat hardtodevelopdensesportscultureatmosphere.Butthe studentsallwouldliketoparticipate in sports clubs .the idea that sports can strong our body and cultivate peoples spirit is wildly agreed.
